There’s a limit to your span, a risk of shrinkage and a LOT of extra time to get services through. Even I-joists need drilling for plumbing and electrics.
Enter metal web joists. Light enough to carry up ladders, strong enough to span 6m or more and not prone to shrinkage.
The biggest benefit though is the open web system. Even bulky services can be easily fed through in minutes so waste pipes, mechanical ventilation ducting and electrics can be installed in a fraction of the time.
